Troit brings Detroit flavors to Wash Ave Food Hall

Another kitchen is joining Wash Ave Food Hall on Washington Avenue — and this one traces straight back to Detroit.

Troit, a Detroit-inspired concept from restaurateur Jordaryl “Jordy” Logan, is slated to open this fall inside the hall at 1122 Washington Avenue. Logan also owns The Moniker, the cocktail lounge and restaurant at 1000 Washington Avenue, Suite B, which opened in 2025.

For Logan, a Detroit native, Troit is built around the foods he grew up with — not only Detroit-style pizza, but a wider Motor City spread. The planned menu includes Detroit-style pizza, Coney dogs, corned beef sandwiches, corned beef egg rolls, and rotating specialties, with Michigan brands like Faygo soda and Better Made chips in the mix.

“This is about bringing Detroit-style fare to St. Louis and doing it in a way that feels authentic,” Logan said in a release. “’Wash Ave’ is happening right now, and the Food Hall gives us the opportunity to create something really fun and be part of everything that is building downtown.”

He has also said interest from Detroit transplants helped push the idea forward. “We want somebody from Detroit to walk in and immediately recognize what we’re doing, while also giving St. Louis something it hasn’t really had before.”

Wash Ave Food Hall is a roughly 9,000-square-foot, about $6 million project led by Oliver Properties in the former Reign Restaurant and Nightclub storefront (closed in 2021). It is planned for eight food and beverage concepts, two bars, a self-pour beverage wall, and an indoor-outdoor gathering space with a retractable roof, and it is operated by Fort Lauderdale–based FIRETEN Hospitality. The hall is expected to open later this year.

Troit joins previously announced tenants Steve’s Smash, Little BAO, Macis’ Prime BBQ, and 4 Hands Brewing Co. (PourMyBeer wall), plus the separately announced Wash Ave Social indoor lawn-games space.
