Monogram’s Spooky Special, Schlafly’s Halloween Eve party and CITY SC’s Fan Appreciation match
Live
Monogram on Washington, the nine-story brick and terra cotta building at 1706 Washington Ave., is running a Spooky Special through Halloween. Lease by Saturday, Oct. 31, and get $500 off your first month’s rent (restrictions apply).
The building opened in 1910 as a millinery factory and warehouse, where women’s hats were made, and it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Developer Michael Knight, a partner at Revive Capital Development of Kansas City, converted it into 168 apartments with a rooftop pool. Western Specialty Contractors completed a $1.2 million restoration of the brick and terra cotta facade as part of that work, Walls & Ceilings reported (July 17, 2018).

Monogram has studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-home washers and dryers and walk-in showers. On Oct. 29, listed rents ran from $1,071 for a 558-square-foot studio to $1,781 for a 1,169-square-foot two-bedroom. Residents get a rooftop pool and terrace with a skyline view, a sky lounge with an event kitchen, a fitness center, a red light therapy room, an outdoor area with a firepit and grills, a dog park, bike storage and storage units. There’s also an access-controlled parking garage with EV charging and an automated parcel service. The building is smoke-free, and up to two pets are welcome.
The leasing office is open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on weekends. Call (314) 408-2128 or visit livemonogramstl.com, and see the Monogram on Washington listing on Wash Ave.
And if you lived here, it’s a few blocks to Schlafly Tap Room’s free Halloween Eve party Friday night, then a 10-minute walk to Energizer Park for St. Louis CITY SC playing this Saturday (vs. San Diego FC, 2 p.m., Fan Appreciation Night).

Schlafly Tap Room, 2100 Locust St., a block off Wash Ave, is throwing a free Halloween Eve party Friday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 11 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, and there’ll be a tarot reader and s’mores.

The party benefits the Women’s Safe House, and the Tap Room will collect donations of feminine hygiene products, so bring a pack along with your costume. The Tap Room is open 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon–10 p.m. Sunday, with the kitchen open until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Call (314) 241-2337.
